Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Lyru iOS app (the "App") provided by Can Tasar ("we", "us"), an individual developer based in Istanbul, Türkiye. By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The service

Lyru shows synced lyrics for the song playing in Apple Music (in the Lyru player or the Music app) or Spotify, in the App and in a Live Activity on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and on CarPlay. You need your own access to those music services; Lyru does not provide music. Lyru is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apple or Spotify.

Lyrics come from third-party sources such as LRCLIB. They may be missing, wrong or out of time. You can report a problem from the lyrics screen, and we work to fix it, but we cannot guarantee every song.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the App only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, under these Terms and the Usage Rules of the App Store. The App is licensed, not sold.

4. Acceptable use

Do not copy, resell or redistribute lyrics shown in the App; copy, modify or reverse engineer the App except where the law allows; bypass the paywall or other protections; scrape or extract data with automated means; or interfere with our servers or other users.

5. Lyru Pro

• Lyru Pro unlocks lyrics on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and on CarPlay. It is an auto-renewing subscription, offered weekly or yearly at the prices shown in the App.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
• If a free trial is offered, it turns into a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; we cannot issue them ourselves.
• Restore purchases from Settings in the App.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you send us, such as lyrics reports and support messages. You let us store and use it only to run, fix and improve the App.

7. Third-party services

The App relies on services we do not control, including Apple, Spotify, RevenueCat and LRCLIB. We are not responsible for their availability, content or practices, and their own terms apply to your use of them.

8. Changes and availability

We may update, change, suspend or end the App or any feature at any time. Lyru relies on iOS features and outside services that can change, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

9. Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY OF LYRICS AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction, except where the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence give you the right to bring a claim where you live.

13. Apple

These Terms are between you and Can Tasar, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance and consumer protection claims, or claims that the App infringes a third party's intellectual property. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept it.
